DÉCLIC is reinventing access to education in Niger by combining mobility, creativity and progressive youth empowerment.
Our model rests on three complementary pillars:
1. MOBILITY
Rather than waiting for young people to come to us, we go to them. Our mobile library crosses peripheral neighborhoods, overcomes geographical and socio-economic barriers, and makes education accessible where it is most lacking.
2. CREATIVITY
Reading is not enough. We train young people to create their own content: educational videos, podcasts, photo reports, book reviews. This approach develops their critical thinking, self-confidence, and digital skills essential for the 21st century.
3. PEER-TO-PEER TRANSMISSION
Trained youth become peer educators and in turn pass on their skills. This model creates a multiplier effect: one trained youth trains 10 others, who train 100 others...
Our 3-phase approach over 3 years enables lasting transformation:
- Phase 1: Access and discovery (300 youth)
- Phase 2: Training and creation (30 creators, 50 pieces of content)
- Phase 3: Autonomy and scaling (500 youth, network of peer educators)
DÉCLIC proves that with the right tools, young people from peripheral neighborhoods can become agents of educational change in their communities.
